Femdom and Second Life

For most people worldwide, we have heard of the open sim game called Second Life. For those that haven't, it is what is says, a way to have a Second Life in an open sim type environment where anything goes and anything you want it to be.

In the beginning it was invented in the mid 90's for people to download a game and play on their computer via the internet and login to something so imaginable it was almost doomed from the beginning. But alas, shortly after it's launch and a bunch of coding the game then allowed anybody with an imagination and a small skill set to "build" virtual

cities that housed everything from car lots, fishing, dancing and clubbing and more. This of course created a worldwide gaming community, knowing anyone could just go in and build whatever they wanted, no questions asked.

Now knowing this, people from all walks of life started building a "sexual" side to the game since at this time it was strictly adults only. From sex parlors, transsexualisms, red light districts, water games, and more, the scene was set for one of the biggest communities in sl (Second Life), BDSM, and all it's glory!

And so it became established that even today, the BDSM community is still one of the largest ever in sl. With it comes all things from Femdom, sissy, tg, D/s, and much more that I could ever explain here. But knowing this, let us move on.

I think that Femdom is the biggest community in the BDSM Family that lives and resides in sl. It came about hard and strong as all Dominant things do. The presence of Femdom can be seen in most of the things in sl today. From the game about Vampires, to clubs, to the many sims that cater to Women, to the many "collars" worn by individuals sitting at the local diner, the symbolism of Femdom resides deep in sl.

How and why did Femdom become a giant part of the game? And the bigger question is why do I find myself in it as well. The biggest answer would be that the sl is again what it is, a second life. A new identity, a freedom to be the individual that you could not be in real life. A secret identity that nobody knows about but you. A way to express yourself in a way that would be taboo in real life. A stronger bolder you, or perhaps with many, a softer, weaker, submissive side. For myself it has always been a way for me to express something deeper and not have to worry about affording the lifestyle that many perceive in the real world to be.

And so it still goes to this day. A way to interact with others that believe it can be done better in the game than in real life. Now do not get me wrong. The Femdom community in second life does not always see eye to eye on this and the reasons for it's existence. But that is the beauty of it. As a Mistress, I have found both love and friendship with both Dominants and submissives. And as I have learned each Mistress has their own personal way of being a Mistress, some abusive and physical, others more passionate and loving. But one thing is for sure, the Femdom community houses in it's arms, even more fetishes that you can imagine. Again for me, never a dull moment.

And it will stop there. With all the creative minds in the Femdom network in sl, I dare dream of the day when it becomes boring for both Mistresses and Their pets. One day it may be sissification, the next day, a cocktail party where the pets are being put on display. Or perhaps a pet dressed like a pony and made to pull the Mistress around a track displaying her skills?

Well truth be told, I hope to find myself in second life doing what I do in the years to come. Femdom and Second Life are like a good marriage, and their children love to build the Family and make them proud. And one day perhaps, we will meet and have our own stories to tell about Femdom and Second Life.
